  I had a very short stay at this hotel of only a few hours, but it left a decent impression.
  The room was an okay size and decently equipped. The bed was comfortable. As some of the other travelers commented, the rooms could use some freshening up.
  An employee told me that approximately 95% of the guests are business travelers related to the automobile industry, as the hotel is located in the FAW (First Automobile Workshop) area of the city. If you are a LaoWai (foreigner to China), you will feel right at home. A sign of the diverse crowd this hotel services, it has a number of different restaurants, Chinese, Japanese, German and International. I only had the breakfast buffet, and was impressed by the freshly made Chinese ramen.
  I would have given it four stars, but the checkout experience left some to be desired. As is customary in many non-luxury hotels in China, they send someone to check the room when you check out. They said I broke their alarm clock (one of those you can buy from the dollar store for <$2). When I took out the battery at night because the cheap clock had a really loud second arm, I did notice a decorative piece of plastic was broken. I think if I was the concierge, I a) would have replaced the broken item, so each new guest starts with a clean slate; b) would not have confronted a guest over such a cheap item.
  Conclusion:
  1. decently equipped for any business traveler
  2. clean
  3. many foreigners, you would fit in no matter what nationality you are

  Stayed here during a business for one day. Rooms are clean but do need some freshening up soon. The size of the rooms are large enough. The reception area is a bit small but no congestion a during my check-in so I assume it is OK anyway. We had a surprise show in the lobby as the staff had a safety training including what to do during a potential fire. Good to see they took it seriously but also a lot of giggle at the end when all staff pretended to run fast and low to escape smoke during a fire!
  The staff were all friendly (except for the bell boy carrying my bag to my room and did not get a tip as I was out of cash) and helpful. Good food in the Chinese and German restaurants with some extra stars to the brewery that had real great Bavarian style beer.

  Swiss-belhotel is not so many in China, Changchu Swiss-belhotel is the best.So far everytime I visit Changchun, I would like to stay in Swiss-belhotel... Not only is the room very comfortable to stay in like home especially you can cook in certain type of rooms but also the food is fantastic.......Of course there is some room to be improved here and there in terms of hardware due to the long-run premises since I remembered....But quality wise can be trusted and worth to come again.....

  My second Swiss belhotel to stay in china. I like this one because the staff were very friendly. Always happy to help when I asked for information on the city. I had met some old friend in the hotels German beer hall on the Friday night., really great atmosphere. Room was good and safe. City itself was a little disappointing by meeting friends was the mission on this trip. Heading to shanghai for my final city before going home
