I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

The staff at this hotel are great. They are all very attentive. From the bellmen to the concierge desk, reception desk, executive lounge, house keeping and even the guest services manager. They anticipate your needs and just very professional.
I found the room to be comfortable and spacious. The food in the lounge was fantastic. However, I felt like this particular JW Marriott Hotel did not compare well to other JW Marriotts I have stayed at.
Overall, a great hotel and would stay there again.

  • Outstanding service in beautiful, clean, centrally located hotel.

My husband and I redeemed Marriott points to stay 5 nights here in September. While the Marriott classifies it as a Category 3, we felt it was much closer to a 6 or 7 in terms of amenities and service. As Gold Elite members, we were upgraded to a king suite on the executive floor. Our room was spacious, well-designed and immaculate.
The executive lounge was large, yet inviting, with a balcony that had nice city views. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The variety of food was unbelievable including both western and local choices. Breakfast offered made to order eggs, fresh fruit, breads, pastries, salads, cheeses, dumplings, cold cereal, oatmeal every day. Plus additional hot dishes, such as bacon, french toast and numerous other Asian dishes.
From 5:30 - 7:30 each night they had Happy Hour which included unlimited self-serve alcoholic drinks. Every night they had a signature cocktail like cosmopolitans, or a special appetizer such as shrimp ceviche. There was a nice selection of cold salads, fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, sushi and desserts. In addition, there were at least 8 hot dishes.
There were also a few regular dining options in the hotel. The Italian restaurant offered traditional western dishes, including pizza and homemade pasta, and had a nice outdoor seating area.
We spent our days sightseeing and always enjoyed returning to the hotel where we were warmly welcomed. The front desk and staff in the executive lounge spoke English well and they all went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Forbidden City is within walking distance, but it's easier to use public transportation. There are 2 different subway lines within easy walking distance of the hotel. We got subway passes which could be reloaded throughout our stay, and relied on the subway to travel to Tienanmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Lama Temple and most other sights. Only used cabs when we had to transport all of our luggage. The subways were very clean, safe, efficient, and inexpensive (less than $1USD per trip). Plus destinations were written and announced in English.
Overall, we had a great time in Beijing and found this hotel to be a hidden gem. We strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

My wife and I stayed here for just shy of a week and absolutely loved the hotel. The room was very clean with modern fixtures and quite roomy. The staff at the executive lounge was nothing short of outstanding (BIG props to Mandy in the lounge). If you visit, say "Hi" to Mandy. She was so helpful while we were there.
All the ladies in the lounge work hard to ensure you have a great stay. The food in the lounge is great as is the selection. Of course, the doormen are also great - they even moved the taxi seat forward for me when I got in.
The location is excellent as it is VERY convenient to the metro system. The closest stop is a mere 5 minute walk (at most) and there is a Starbucks just a few minutes away.
My only gripe is the lack of available taxis while in town when we were trying to get back to the hotel but that's not the hotel's fault. That's just Beijing. On that note, the hotel did a great job getting a taxi for us when we would leave the hotel for dinner/sightseeing/shopping but we weren't so lucky trying to get a taxi BACK to the hotel.
All in all - excellent service, comfortable and clean room, and a staff that prides themselves in the device they provide to guests = a recipe for success.
Seriously....if you need any help getting around or navigating Shanghai, talk to Mandy in the lounge. She's awesome!

This was our first trip to China and Beijing being the first leg. After leaving customs thats when the experience began. If this is your first trip to China.. Make sure you have everything written out in Chinese... I would suggest index cards.... The taxi driver at the hotel did not know where the hotel was, but we were prepared with all the information and a map to the hotel. After a quick call to the JW we were on our way. The hotel on paper is about 30 min away,BUT with traffic it turned into a 2 hour ride... The normal close is 150 CHY but even with all the time it came to 165 CHY.
One you arrive at the hotel the first thing that hit you is the flowery smell of the lobby and what a refreshing scent it is after being on a flight and a stiff cab. All of the staff are world class and help the best they can even those with limited english. If there is anything you need, car service, directions, even a sim card all you have to do is ask the concierge for assistance.
The rooms are awesome with its cosmopolitan look and marble bathrooms, its is great for the cost. The electronic doors are a treat, with my hands full, I just rub my pocket on the reader and the door pops open.
The hotel is connected to a mall that has everything so dont worry if you forgot personal items.
The food is to die for in the hotel, they provide executive food service on the 15th floor of the hotel and on the 4th floor is standard food service that is better than most places I have visited. You can order from a menu or just do buffet with a variable spread to suit everyones food needs. I have to say I enjoyed the juice bar.

  • Nice, elegant hotel but pricy breakfast

Mexico City, Mexico | Oct 1, 2025 | Trip type: Family

Everything at this hotel is nice to the eyes, from the entrance, a host waiting for you just at the entry, nice front desk and waiting hall, service was perfect with friendly staff explaining and hassle free check in
Concierge was helpful wih any request
    Rooms super clean
Location: right next door is a shopping center, with some eating choices, not too many.
Half a block away from subway station
Only downside, breakfast was pricy, for ~250 per person
Good choice to stay while at Beijing, but look booking price to include breakfast will be worth it otherwise try the eating options around or next door in the plaza
