Great location, warm reception
Alen R
Fair Oaks, California | Oct 4, 2025We booked this hotel using Trip Advisor and stayed for 5 days during the Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival. Dana Yang was the person we most frequently interacted with at the property. She was incredibly helpful and generous extending tips and suggestions. The hotel is a well-located property, clean and met our needs. I suggest a room in the back on the first floor. Toiletries are provided but are very small. The hotel is located in a narrow hutong. The reason some cabs may refuse to drive down the alley to the hotel is because of the bustling businesses that flow out to the street. We loved the property location because of the life in the alley.
Second, walk out to the corner of the hutong, take a right and within a quarter of the mile is the LLama Buddhist Temple. Loved it. Go the right, and you will come our on restaurnat row. -
A great way to experience the hutongs
Dean J
Canada | Oct 3, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesBeautiful little hotel on a fascinating hutong. Maybe the only hotel on the street surrounded by lots of unique restaurants and all sorts of little shops. The staff was excellent and always friendly, a few of whom speak excellent English which came in handy when they called ahead to our next hotel to book an airport pickup for us and provided us with details of how to get to the hotel by subway from the train station by email and they also organized a driver to take us to the Great Wall. We stayed downstairs in the back for 5 nights then moved upstairs for our last night so a wedding could all stay next to each other. The rooms weren’t huge (upstairs was a bit bigger) but were nicely done, the bedding and towels were of good quality, and the bathrooms were very modern and worked well. They provided 2 bottles of water each day and toiletries. There was a really nice deck on the top floor. Breakfast wasn’t included for us but was very good, with a pretty good variety, and we ate there every morning. Wifi worked well, or at least as well as internet can work in China when half the sites we use are blocked. The only negative was an annoying sewage smell that came up from the drains when we forgot to plug them in the first room, and all the time in the second room (upstairs).

Great location and staff

Dubai, United Arab Emirates | Sep 27, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesPositive comments... Good convenient location, good staff, nice food and drinks available at the cafe at the hotel, Clean rooms, felt very authentic, good wifi. Negative comments.. Hard bed, pillows made of beans (i think). Thin walls so you can hear neighbouring rooms talking/watching tv. Bathroom was a bit dated and smelling a bit of damp from time to time. Toiletries supplied were basic, best to bring your own. For $90 a night I think maybe its a bit much for what is offered, but all in all I was not completely disappointed.

Awesome hutong experience!
Karen S
Brooklyn, New York | Sep 22, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayThis little hotel is so cute! The only issue we ran into was we requested a room with two beds ahead of arriving (a week or so ahead) and were told it was no problem. When we arrived that was not the case but we were able to move to a room the next morning with two beds. I even booked an extra room night because I just needed some solo time and that was quickly accommodated.
The little lobby is great with cheap beers and a little patio outside that you can watch all the activity in the hutong happening. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in Beijing but it seems like this location is very central to things to see in the city and also close to the MRT. All the rooms are themed to different Beijing landmarks and the thick red paint everywhere is painted with was awesome! -
Excellent hotel!

Sao Paulo, SP | Sep 21, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesThis is an excellent hotel. The room has a good size and it is very clean. The location is great since you´re close to subway lines #2 and 5#. It is worth to order the breakfast. Staff is helpful and speak english.
