A very good experience
liliu98
Sunnyvale, California | Aug 5, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyWe had no choice but to choose this hotel because most other hotels with two beds are booked. But it is a good experience. People here are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has lots of choices.
We had the suite with 2 bedrooms and one living room which is huge. The decoration can be better though.
The most amazing part is that we hired the car from the hotel to Great Wall the next day. The traffic was bad and it seems that we were having trouble to go back to hotel to pick up our luggage and go to train station to catch up our 9:00pm train.
The person (last name with Gu I think) at the hotel who is in charge of the luggage agreed to let my friend pick up our luggages and meet us at the train station. He made sure that the person who picks up our luggages is not fake by checking his ID and took a picture of license plate etc...
Also the manager of the hotel agreed to let the driver send us to the train station without extra charge.
We made it to the train station on time. We really appreciate that they go out of way to help us. -
Great for a Beijing Hotel!

San Francisco, California | Nov 4, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyReaders, beware that I'm comparing this hotel to other Beijing Hotels, not to Western hotels!
Location -
Great! Super easy to find, a short walk to the Beijing Railway and right next to the Beijing Railway subway station
Rooms -
One of my least favorite things about Chinese beds is the hard mattress -- NOT any issue here! The mattress was supportive but soft that I could actually fall asleep well in it! The size of the bedroom was reasonable - a two door length bathroom, a separate shower stall from the rest of the bathroom, two double beds, a chaise. The room is reasonably clean - the carpet didn't have any noticeable stains, the sheets were clean, and towels smelled like laundry!
Wifi -
Available in the lobby fairly decently. Then each room had its own wifi... A bit odd, but worked rather well! Works best when you turn on your TV for some reason...
Breakfast -
By far the best part of this hotel. A decent mix of Chinese and Western breakfast foods: at least 12 hot dishes, a station for wontons/noodles/udon, etc, yogurts, both fresh and canned fruits, breakfast congees, tofu nao, skillet station for eggs/pancakes, sausages, bacon, fried dumpings/bao, pastries, bread, cold cereals, and A COFFEE MACHINE!! SO much good food!! Breakfast runs 7AM-10AM - come early! by 8AM, the area gets pretty busy and the food is not as fresh. -
appearance is their priority

London, United Kingdom | Apr 8, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThis hotel is close to the subway line 2 and the Beijing main train station. It's a huge building that seem to be paying megalomaniac homages to Mao wherever it can; particularly indoors. the facilities are not great: dirty shower room, buttons that fall when you push and Sellotape-like mendings in e.g. the hairdryer. English is barely spoken by their staff.

Nice business hotel but NO ENGLISH spoken

Sydney, Australia | Oct 9, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesThe Hunan Mansion is a HUGE business hotel across the sreet from Beijing Railway Station. It is perfectly nice, clean, and seemingly well-run. However, be warned that the staff speak NO English whatsoever. If you speak no Chinese (and we don't) you have to get by with hand motions and just sign whatever they put in front of you.
Our room was very large with a rain shower in the bathroom. Great water pressure, great wireless internet, and tons of lighting. Breakfast is included, with both western and Chinese foods available.
The only thing preventing a "5" for this hotel is the lack of even basic English skills. We would expect that a hotel of this size would have at least one staff member who speaks English. -
Exellent

Budapest | Jul 28, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI was staying just one day in this Hotel but it was a good choice. The location of the hotel is good near to south railway and bus stations. The staff of the Hotel was friendly. The room was clean and confortable.
