• Cheap and not so cheerful!

  We were moved to this hotel after our original hotel was closed for the MIlitary Parade security crackdown. We arrived in the middle of the night and found our room to be clean and quiet. The bed was firm but the pillows were soft, the room had air conditioning and wi-fi so we were happy. We stayed 8 nights and found the hotel to be in a good location for most of the major attractions, unfortunately quite a few were shut down for the days surrounding the parade. It was difficult to get information as none of the staff spoke English or made any attempt to try to understand us, and were not particulary friendly. You would think that as the week progressed they would have got to know our faces and at least given us a smile? The dining room was very user unfriendly with all menu written in Chinese, no pictures, and even after we got it translated and tried to order, we were not well received. After all our struggles to be understood, the waiter finally brought out a smart phone with a translation App and asked us if we had some obscure diner card.........would have been more useful if he had asked us what we wanted to eat. Mind you the food was pretty ordinary anyway so don't think we missed much! The hotel was reasonable value for money, location was central and there were good restaurants in the area. The room was clean and quiet, the water was hot, the towels were changed daily and it had a kettle so bring your own tea bags. Oh, and the little shop attached at the outside was friendly and good for little snacks and milk.

• Decent price and clean, not a great area

  This hotel was clean and met with my requirements. However, very few of the staff spoke any English, which made it difficult to communicate. That said, I didn't make the effort to learn Chinese either! The morning breakfast was good and the water was hot, which is better than in other locations I visited. There was an element distributing escort services cards that kept shoving them in the doors. That was irritating. The Pearl Market is just down the street. Access for taxis and cars is very difficult at this hotel. The Wifi left quite a lot to be desired.

  因为他们家的会员卡，所以有锦江之星的我都会选择这里，一直觉着他价格合理，服务好，条件也好，服务员的态度也非常的好，酒店不提供早餐，但是可以帮你订，挺好的，挺贴心的，有家的温暖。

  酒店的客房挺大的，床也很大，也有提供一个可以睡觉的那种沙发，有暖气也有空调，也配置了电视机。卫生间里面挺干净的，淋浴的地方有放了一个防滑垫，桌子上也有配置了水壶，厕所的卫生纸准备的很足，洗脸池擦的很亮。

• Alright, but go to the Bestay Inn up the street for a better value

  I stayed in this hotel for one night and found it decent for the price. However, I didn't stay longer and chose to stay my remainder of the visit at the Bestay Hotel Express instead. The Bestay is almost half the rate and is owned by the same company but classified as their budget hotel.
  Otherwise the hotel is decent. Great location, but the rooms and everything else are mediocre and not really worth the price.
