Best hotel I've ever stayed at

plymouth, UK | Jan 14, 2026 | Trip type: Solo travelI stayed there twice in August 2012. Lovely, gleaming rooms, with great facilities. Spacious and attractive interiors. Owner personally treated me to dinner, was driven around in hotel van and given large discount on 2nd visit (was having money/transport troubles - travelling on my own). I feel that I actually made friends with some of the staff there - wonderful people; they couldn't do enough for me! Great Chinese-style internet cafe (VERY cheap!) opposite the hotel. Met up with another traveller at one point, and they did everything they possibly could to help him with his onward travel, as well.
Cannot recommend highly enough!
TINY downside: staff do not speak great English, but their extraordinary hospitality and eagerness to help foreign guests more than makes up for it.
