• 安いけれどオススメはしない

  厳しい気候と大気汚染、再開発されすぎた無味乾燥な街並み、他都市以上に厳しい政治統制（特にネット規制）……と、正直に言って中国の都市のなかでもあまり良い印象がない北京。
  だが、雍和宮の付近には過去の胡同のある街並みが残っており、風情を感じることができる。三元橋・亮馬橋付近と比べて空港からのアクセスは悪いが、2日以上滞在するならこの周辺に泊まるのはアリである。
  また、この10年間のうちに中国で一気に増えた、「青年旅舎（ユースホステル）」形式の宿。シンプルとはいえ風情のある建物を利用していたり、スタッフがフレンドリーだったりする場所が多く、セブンデイズインや如家などのチェーン系ビジネスホテルに泊まるよりも血の通った滞在ができる。
  ……前置きが長くなった。上記のような理由からここをチョイスしたのだが、はっきり言ってハズレ宿。全体的に部屋や廊下が暗く、湿気がある。シングルルームの室内もボロボロ（風情のあるボロボロではなく、単純に安っぽいボロボロ）。清潔感もない。安宿とはいえ、一泊200元台を出すならもう少しまともな宿は他にあるはず。
  胡同のなかにある風情ある青年旅舎をこの近所で探すならば、自分の経験上では、張自忠路の近くにある北平小院を選んだほうがいい気がするかな。

• Une auberge innacceptable

  J'ai séjourné au Confucious International Hostel 4 nuits, fin Octobre 2013.
  Je ne conseille absolument pas cet auberge à d'autres voyageurs, pour les raisons suivantes:
  Les lieux étaient absolument insalubres. Les sanitaires dans un état de saleté rarement vu. Aucun joint correct entre la salle de bain et la chambre, ce qui a conduit à des fuites d'eau (3cm d'eau sur tout le sol) dans toute la chambre après chaque douche. Je vous laisse imaginer les odeurs d'humidité, des toilettes non lavés depuis une éternité, les vers et bêtes en tout genre qui se douchaient avec nous (ainsi que les touffes de cheveux, saleté....). Il n'y avait pas de serviettes données contrairement à ce qui est écrit sur le site internet. Nous avons du les réclamer auprès de l'accueil.
  Tout cela pour un prix cher, car nous avons trouvé par la suite une auberge super, avec des chambres propres et de nombreuses faciities à un prix à peine plus élevé.
  En somme, un séjour pas du tout agréable.
  Seul point positif: l'emplacement de l'hôtel, dans un quartier 'Hutong' typique de Pékin rempli de petites boutiques, friperies, resto sympa etc.

• Bien ubicado, pero terriblemente sucio!

  La ubicación está bien, pero no las habitaciones no el patio común, ni siquiera la recepción. Nos alojamos solo por una noche porque no nos gustó el lugar. Teníamos una habitación de 4; el baño estaba horrible de lo sucio, el picaporte de la puerta de entrada se salía, y el patio común también carecía de limpieza. Hablamos de limpieza de mucho tiempo, no de unos días, sino de meses, largos meses sin limpieza. No lo recomiendo.

• Hostel was OK, but not the local Chinese man who stayed there

  I choose this hostel because of the good location. The room was fine, it was the other fellow 'local' who stayed in the 4 bed-dorm that was the problem. Lets just say the room was choked with cigarette smoke all night, and the no-smoking in room policy was not enforced. The local man, in his late 40s, brought back a girl at midnight and lets just say some dodgy things happened and so I couldn't get any sleep all night. That was my experience, don't think it could get worse than that.

  Hostel did not honor my fully prepaid on-line reservation, leaving me without a place to stay on a holiday weekend in Beijing. Only Chinese spoken. I was charged 170RMB for a room with a stinking open drain, and then told no other rooms were available for the weekend. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.
