Moderate and acceptable
mohammadvahidnia
Tehran, Iran | Aug 1, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI've been in this hotel for only 2 nights and actually it was good.
It's near the main square of beijing, also 10 minutes walk to silk street shopping center. There is a good shopping mall just in front of it and about 2 other big shopping malls of beijing around it.
You can find many good restaurants in the neighborhood, also starbucks in LG twin towers and McDonald's and McAfee near it and so many other cafès and restuarants in the Silk street.
You can go to forbidden city only in 15 minutes with taxi or bus.
So as i saw for me that wanted to do business and also shopping , it was really good with a fair price and good services.
The only thing that i didn't enjoy much was breakfast . -
Faded convenience if you've business in the area

hong kong | May 31, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThe inlaid marble, etched glass and carved woodwork suggest that this was once a bit of a showpiece hotel. However, it is now in need of refurbishment, so if I didn't have business in Scitech Tower next door I wouldn't stay here. It's probably the density of Beijing traffic that keeps Scitech going, as it is very coveniently located in a major business district and close to the metro. WiFi didn't work too well in my room on the 13th floor, but connection was fine in the lobby (except that it proved difficult to use Gmail). There is a fitness club and indoor pool which guests can use. There have been recurrent rumours over the years that Scitech was about to be redeveloped, which may explain why it hasn't been upgraded. For now, the standard is acceptable for the price.

Good value for the money

Tel Aviv | Aug 14, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThe hotel isn't new, the room TV is old, but - It's location is good and central, the rooms are not small, wifi worked well, water were great - Was worth the not-too-expensive price. I would go back again for the same budget.

Absolutely aweful

Perth, Australia | Sep 2, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyDO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel may have a 4 star lobby but the rest of the hotel is 2 star at best. There were holes in the ceiling, dirty carpets, water damage in the walls, everything smelt of smoke and worst of all, the beds were so hard and uncomfortable that we all had back pains the next day. When we asked the staff for some more padding or extra quilts for the bed they said they'd send some up but nothing was delivered.
The food for the breakfast buffet was terrible, you could bounce the pastries on the floor they were so old and the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly but also liked to stand right behind your chair and watch you eat.
Also, because of the 70th anniversary parade of WWII that was being held in the city at the time, the entire area surrounding the hotel was barricaded for hours by police. We were trapped out on the street for hours after midnight waiting to get back in with absolutely no warning from the hotel staff that this was to occur even though we spoke to them before we left the hotel that night.
The hotel is also pretty far from the city centre and the walk to the metro is along a busy highway and quite unpleasant. The hotel wi-fi was also extremely slow.
Worse hotel experience of my life. -
Once upon a time, it was a very good hotel.

Hong Kong, China | Dec 30, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI'm sure this was a very good hotel 15 years ago. However, it's been poorly maintained. There were stains everywhere in my room and the carpet was dirty. The old stype 3-round pins outlets are still being used which i didn't have an adapter for. There's only 2 new power outlets in the room -- not nearly enough to charge my electronic devices. My room was smokey and the heater was (not adjustable) so hot i had to open the window.
At least the towels and bedding seemed clean to me and it's at a good location.
I was told that there are better hotels in the neighborhood for similar rates. I guess i'll not stay at this hotel again....
