Nice hotel if not looking for 5 star
kibbutznik_9
israel | Mar 10, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessSo i am not sure whether to give this hotel 3 or 4 stars so i am being generous.
The plusses--
1) The staff- very helpful= not bad English- slightly slow at reception=lot of photocopying etc but ok..
2) Very good fast internet in rooms (also wifi) no passwords no fuss. In lobby with password.
3) Very nice entrance. lobby- with chairs and tables in a sort of indoor garden- conservatory.
4) Quite central-- not much right next door bu t5 minutes walk to big mmall opposite the train station..
5) Room is ok- little aged but all working- quite big- good lights- comfy chairs
The negs
1> bed bit hard
2. basically a chinese hotel= no english cable tv.. -
Not as bad as latest reviews
FranK4U2
Richmond, Virginia | Oct 16, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesMy husband and I stayed here two nights (10/14 & 15). Upon our arrival, the front desk quickly checked us in as I presented my voucher. There was limited English exchange. Our room was spacious compared to other hotels in Beijing according to a relative who lives in China and visited us. The carpets were stained but did not appear 'dirty' as my slippers didn't show dirt after wearing in the room over 24 hours. The bell boy (wish I'd asked his name) was most accommodating as I wanted a soda and he walked me around the corner to a nearby market, waited outside while I shopped and walked me back. Unfortunately, I think I offended him as I did not realize that 'tipping' for extra service is actually an insult. A negative to our stay was that there was no electrical adapter so we could not use the computer until we purchased one. We asked for one at the front desk and thought someone was going to check on us when the person came to work, but after waiting well past 11 a.m., we went out and bought one.
The location was good for us as we were taking the train to Qinhuangdao so we did not have to arise early to get a taxi to get to the train station. It was about 1/2 mile or so from our hotel and we were able to walk there in 15 - 20 minutes; luggage toting and all. Near the train station were various other stores including the KFC and McD's-.
Our check out was quick and efficient with little/no English translating.
The beds were 'firm' as I expected from many reviews but I was exhausted from the flight and had no trouble sleeping. One thing I found interesting is that the private bath is enclosed in glass but there is a curtain to close for privacy from the bedroom. One of our bathrobes was dirty on the outside and there were no wash cloths. -
Terrible Service; Dirty Hotel
lostinchina99
Shanghai | Jul 17, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessStaff is terribly trained. Internet broke in the middle of the night. No body cared. Front desk staff basically told me not their job...do not bother me (this is not an language issue...I speak Chinese). Carpets dirty in rooms. Halls smelled bad. "No smoking" rooms have ashtrays. Haha. My room had mosquitos. Took 45 minutes to get my room. A lot of rooms in Building 1 are on highway and noisy. Getting a taxi is almost impossible. The only good part of the hotel was leaving.

Nightmare hotel

Eindhoven, The Netherlands | Jun 6, 2025 | Trip type: Businessthe hotel is very old and run down. it is on a busy highway nothing to do in the area.
Very difficult to get a taxi to go anywhere. staff does not speak english and is totally disinterested.
Food is lousy in comparison with most other places in Beijng and the same price.
Room are depressing smelly and not very clean. beds are extremely uncomfortable..
Wifi is a joke . did check out after 1 night even though did not get the other 4 nights restituted. -
do not go
Albert-Frank
Eindhoven, The Netherlands | Jun 5, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessIf you are thinking about this hotel, move on . The staff is not interested in guests, starting from the frontdesk, the romsservice, the restaurants or the bellboy. All have in common that they like to serve anything but guests.
And if you still would like to make this mistake, the airconditions could not handle 27 degree outside temperature, which is low for beijing. the rooms have not been cleaned for a long time. the internet could better be replace by standard post delivery, which is faster and more reliable.
But of course if you like russians ladies for a night, it might b the place to be.
