• Very good hotel!

  Stayed for five nights at Crown Plaza Lido (not to be mixed up with other Crown Plaza). I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel is located somewhat in between city center and airport/exhibition center. From that perspective it was a very good location. Around 30 min to the airport and 30 min to city center.
  The hotel overall was very clean and spacious including the rooms. I was upgraded to a larger room category with a very high standard.
  There was free wifi throughout the entire hotel and it worked perfectly.
  The staff was very friendly and especially William at the front of the hotel was very helpful.
  Just a short walk from the hotel there was a number of good restaurants from International kitchens.
  The highway was just outside the hotel but not too noisy (there is a constant nice in Beijing anyway).
  Even if we did not use the pool area it looked really nice.
  The breakfast was very nice with all varieties of all you need for breakfast.

  To me the interior of the rooms is fantastic, kind of Scandinavian in design and I feel very welcome and comfortable in the room. In room coffee and tea facitilities is always a pleasure. The WiFi is as always in China extremely slow.
  Great service and attention at the very expensive breakfast. Great location for business in east Beijing and access to the airport, but not a good location for sightseeing, as there are no subway nearby.

• Very good choice for the American business traveler

  I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Lido for eleven nights on business. This hotel is a good choice for the American business traveler with no understanding of the local language. All staff you encounter at the front desk and in the restaurants understand and speak English to some degree. My room was spacious and the king size bed was the biggest I've ever encountered. The pillows, mattress and duvet-covered comforter were very comfortable and I slept well every night. The complimentary breakfast offered in one of the restaurants is very good with a lot of western choices (and forks and knives!). This hotel is away from Beijing city center. If you walk out of the hotel and turn right, walk a couple of blocks and you will find many places to eat. The lunch and dinner offerings at the hotel itself were not that plentiful, although Craft did have some good sandwich choices if you want something simple. It appeared there was a new restaurant under construction on the second floor. The free wifi was a little touch and go. At times it was reliable and at other times it was spotty. If my travels ever bring me to Beijing again I will definitely stay here.

  The facility is very nice(looks like it was recently renovated), the rooms are modern and spacious with plenty amenities, the food is very nice (especially in their western restaurant) and on the entrance it has a very nice pub with pastries,sandwiches and finger food, beverages, and liquor which is an ideal environment for smokers (very modern, very tasteful interior design). And finally the staff is beyond your imagination helpful...i needed to get some painkillers from a drug store and i ask the front desk to call for a taxi and tell the taxi driver to wait for me outside and then take me back to the hotel. They said it is nearby and i wouldn't need a taxi, i could just walk on foot, but because it was late i was afraid i would get lost, i asked them to call for one anyway. And the offered to accompany me instead to the store, they walked me to it, they did all the talking with the pharmacist in Chinese because it was hard to find what i was looking for (the chinese do not speak english unless they work in a hotel) and overall my stay there was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend it, totally worth it in terms of value for money, and very high standards!!

  Stayed here multiple times during my business trip. This hotel never disappointed mem great place to stay. Very good staff and very cleanly maintained place. High floors has excellent view of Beijing city. Breakfast spread if very big, lots of options with western food. Close to Airport too. Will visit this again when i come to Beijing
