Just a simple hotel yet a very comfortable place to stay...
Bing_Takes_A_Trip
Dumaguete City, Philippines | Oct 12, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI escorted my group of 18-persons in Sept. 2015 and we stayed there for 3-nights. Through-out our stay, I never received even a single complaint from my group about the rooms. It's a clear testimony that indeed hotel rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is ok and location is good.

Mixed bag

Plymouth, United Kingdom | Sep 15, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesTricky one this. Good rooms, clean tidy and modern. Good restaurants and very efficient service, with the exception of one breakfast where the staff seemed overwhelmed.
The problem here is that language is a real struggle; they do not speak English as well as you might expect for a large tourist hotel. The other problem is the generic nature of the place, you could be anywhere.
However, it was a good start to our time in China and a major bonus of this hotel is that it is a short walk from the beautiful Temple of Heaven. -
Easy transition for first Chinese hotel
Erica R
Toronto, Canada | Jul 1, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayStayed at this hotel for the first 5 nights for a group trip through EF tours. Our hotel room had two double beds and was clean (no noticeable stains on carpet or peeling wallpaper). We did have to go down to the front desk to ask for a shower curtain to be put in our room which was quickly put up within the 10 minutes we were downstairs for the wifi. The odor in the hotel hallways was unpleasant at some points of the day. The room had a great view of the mountains off in the distance on a clear day and I enjoyed the rainbow of colours being cast into our room at night coming from the massage parlor sign next door. The breakfast was a good mix of western foods and Chinese. Although some of the breakfast foods were a bit of a strange twist on western style (macaroni and cheese for breakfast??). Overall a good selection to start your day. Location was close to the Kung Fu Show, pharmacy and convenience store. Also great little local restaurants down side streets if you leave the hotel and turn right. I would highly suggest visiting the fresh market in the mornings. a few blocks to the left of the hotel. Amazing breakfast foods there.Would recommend for someone who is looking for a hotel that is not $$$$ and is not extremely fussy. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Beijing

Excellent breakfast buffet; conveniently located

Saint Louis, Missouri | Jun 30, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyThe title of review pretty much says it all. I don't have a comparison in terms of local hotels just what I'm accustomed to in the U.S. We did not select this hotel but it was part of a tour itinerary. Nevertheless accommodations were reasonable. Each room has two smaller beds. We had a fold-away bed added to accommodate a third person. For international travelers there are electrical adaptors for phones, tablets and computers, etc. but you may need a voltage transformer for electric shaver or camera battery charger. The rooms are not the cleanest appearing (stains on carpets, peeling wallpaper, etc) plus the lighting fixtures in the room are not bright.
Breakfast was the best part! Always a wide variety of Western and Chinese foods. If you stay here go with the breakfast included option.
Conveniently located to Temple of Heaven. Can walk to nearby drugstore and market. Otherwise we relied on tour bus for transportation. -
An ok hotel for a couple of nights
Xueyan D
Hong Kong | Apr 29, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThe good: it's location, close to the Temple of Heaven, the famous Kung Fu Show, Pianyifang Roast Duck; close to an underground station and the Pearl Market; the rooms are slightly old fashioned, but most are decently clean; Wi-Fi in the lobby;
The bad: the lobby bar is terribly dull; Wi-Fi *only* in the lobby; breakfast restaurant easily overcrowded; hideous Kenny G music on the loop;
