I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Relief at the end of the day!

Pie Town, New Mexico | Sep 24, 2025 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed at this hotel for four nights mid September as part of an American tour group. Rooms are spacious, air conditioned, comfortable beds and very clean. What a relief at the end of the day to come "home" to a western toilet. In spite of the fact that this hotel is located on a very busy street it is very quiet. There is a large mall and several restaurants nearby. Few of the hotel staff are fluent in English. This was not a problem for us since we had a Chinese guide.

  • Great hospitality and service

Attending a conference in the hotel and the staff is working very hard to keep everything running smoothly. The hotel is clean and modern. One odd thing about our room, there is a large picture window looking into the bathroom from the beds. Traveling with a friend and we don't really need to watch each other in the bathroom. We could see some kind of blinds near the ceiling but no cords or handles. We asked the bellboy, with sign language, to lower the blinds but though he tried various things no success. Finally he called for help and we all laughed to discover buttons behind the door electronically control the blinds. Privacy restored we settled in happily. The hotel provides a buffet for the conference for each meal and it has been an interesting mix of international foods and local dishes. I am particularly enjoying the peach, pear, and fresh carrot juice available at each meal. The hotel includes a spa but I haven't had time to use it.

I stayed here last week for around 6 nights. I shared a twin room. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast in hotel was amazing but I had dinner one night and would not recommend. Very close to a shopping mall also. I personally could not connect to wifi in room but my friends however could. There is wifi in lobby though, which is very accessible.

  • A Good Choice For The Western Haidian District
    bskramer
Doylestown, Pennsylvania, USA | Aug 2, 2025 | Trip type: Family

My wife and I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in the Haidian District of Beijing for three nights at the end of July and beginning of August, 2015. Our reason for staying at this location was because we have family that live nearby in the Haidian district. Overall, our stay was pleasant. The hotel is a solid four star hotel with all the amenities you would expect from a Sheraton. I reserved my room and rate using my Starwood Preferred Guest number on the Sheraton Website in the United States. I have stayed at many Sheraton properties in Asia and found my experience at this location to be similar. The check-in went smoothly, and many of the hotel staff did speak English. In fact, it was easy to communicate with everyone on the Lobby floor.
We booked a king size non-smoking room and were assigned a nice corner room on the 8th floor. This floor was designated for Starwood Preferred Guest members. The room had a good amount of space and was very clean. The hotel is not the most modern, but our room was very comfortable and well appointed. We were very pleased with our room. There was an adequate number of electrical outlets for us to recharge and plug in our cellphones, iPads, and laptops. There was free wireless Internet access in the room and on the first floor. For a hotel in China, the Internet speed and reliability was very good.
I used the fitness center located in the basement floor twice. They had an adequate amount of treadmills, elliptical, and weight machines. They also had a pool for guests to use. It was a little warm in the fitness center compared to US gyms, and the staff did not speak English. Nonetheless, I had no problem doing my regular fitness routine. They have a very nice breakfast buffet in the main restaurant on the first floor. It is a combination of Western and Chinese foods. It was a great way to start the day, and you should include it if you book this hotel. It is worth the extra cost.
It is important to note that this property is not near downtown Beijing. If you are going to Beijing for tourism, then this hotel is far away from Tiananmen Square. We booked this hotel, because it was near family members who lived in the Haidian District. The nearest subway stop (Changchunqiao on the Number 10 Line) is about 3 - 4 long blocks away. In between, is the large Jin Yuan Mall, where you can find many Chinese restaurants and fast food places. There is also a good number of Western food restaurants in this mall.
This hotel is a great place to stay if you have business in the western Haidian District. If you are visiting China for tourism, you may want to consider central Beijing, the Central Business District, or the Chaoyang district. For us, this was a good choice, and we will definitely stay here again when we visit family in Beijing.

  • Definitely room for improvement
    derekang1980
    Singapore | Aug 2, 2025 | Trip type: Couples

Front desk, main lobby is a little worn. Considering it's the first impression of a hotel, management might want to consider sprucing up the area.
Had an elite check-in counter but it wasn't manned, check-in process was a little longer then usual and staff seemed generally new. Minor hiccups here and there but not that big an issue. Had a male supervisor on duty who had a good command of English so no worries for foreigners here.
Rooms and the other areas in the hotel were definitely much better, and in fact has the Sheraton flare. Minor rejuvenation of rooms could see it getting branded as Sheraton instead.
This Fourpoints in fact still has an executive lounge which is actually quite rare, Bangkok Penang in fact doesn't even have one which is a plus for elite members.
Hotel in fact is a lot better than the usual Fourpoints standards across south east Asia, Penang by far is the worst and Bangkok seems to be on the road for improvement. Beijing seem to show great potential if management is able to continue with their level of ownership and conviction.
Staff were generally friendly and were quite service oriented, although language barrier seems to be an issue with most employees.
Location is generally quite centralized with a train station nearby, and a huge mall with a super market the size of two football fields. But taxis are generally easy to flag off the street but having an Uber app helps. Getting to main attractions like Houhai, Temple of Heaven costs approximately RMB30, and to the Beijing Capital Airport around RMB150. Didn't see a need to in fact use the train or even bus. But hotel management may consider running a complimentary shuttle between the nearby mall to make thing more convenient.
All in all, one of the better Fourpoints brand hotel I've stayed in thus far, and generally still quite affordable.
Ask for the breakfast package at the lounge which usually costs RMB182 per night per room, but discounted to RMB100. Generally quiet environment and in the executive lounge. Elite members get upgraded to an enhanced room if it's available. Relatively a good deal if you check for lower rates at other sites and get a Best Rate Guarantee matching the rate plus 2000 star points. Great for mattress runs to the Aloft Haidian which is in the same complex.
