I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • OK not a great start to China though!

We stayed as part of GATE 1 tour, we arrived a day before the tour started to rest a bit but had planned on exploring Beijing a bit that day before as well. The hotel had very little English speaking people and the location was in a very residential non-touristy area. So based on reviews from here we made it to the supermarket just a block or so away and that was our excitement for the day - we had no one to ask for help and there was nothing of "tourist" interest nearby. The hotel itself - the room size was very nice and probably had the biggest bed I've ever seen, the bathroom sink/counter I don't think was even wiped down pretty gross. As other commented it may have looked clean in initial viewing but it certainly wouldn't come close to passing a white glove test. Internet worked well though and with a vpn I could do facebook. In summary if you have a choice there has to be better located hotels that you could stay at unless you know Chinese well and can get around on your own. Also bed traditional Chinese hard as a rock and room was warm couldn't get below 26 C (Chinese gov't rules I understand)

  • A great place to stay in Beijing

I stayed here for three nights and slept very well. It was quiet and in a good neighborhood. The Internet worked and was not excessively slow. The breakfast was very good and I had dinner one evening in the restaurant -- also very good.

  • Great Location for Longtan Park

Decent hotel with large rooms. We had a large corner room with wonderful windows overlooking a fairly busy street. The street noise was not a problem, however. The bathroom was very nice, but the beds were hard (Chinese style). There was a mini bar and pot for boiling water to make tea or coffee. There was also a small sitting area near the windows. My only real negative was that the cleaning staff didn't seem to have a vacuum and the rooms were carpeted. The included breakfast was decent. Longtan Park was only a few blocks away, but most sites will require a bus, subway or taxi.

  • Lovely Stay

Tweed Heads, Australia | Jun 23, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Very comfortable. Friendly staff, with some English. Coffee and tea making facilities in room. Our friends and I had different styles of rooms, but they were all very nice. Not a 5 star with some renos needed, but none that affected our comfort. Good breakfast, Asian and Western. Recommended

  • Slightly better than average

This is a perfectly adequate hotel. It is located in the hustle and bustle of Beijing and a 10-15 minute walk to a large supermarket and other non toursist type stores.
Like most of the 4 star hotels we've stayed in in China, the rooms look very good on cursory inspection, but they do show wear and tear with some scratched furniture and worn, not pristenely clean, carpeting. (The carpeting was what bothered me the most--did not want my bare feet to touch the floor). Nevertheless, the bedding was clean. The bed was on the firm side, which suited me fine, but not all my travel companions liked this. The room was adequate in size. A little more lighting would have been great. There were adequate outlets to charge your electronics.
The Breakfast buffet was good with both Western and Chinese foods.
