I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

Situated just next to Four Point Sheraton, Aloft is a simple hotel with generally passable standards. It's got what you need - air con, lift, comfortable rooms, morning breakfast, indoor swimming pool and a ten minute walk from a huge shopping centre.
I went in winter when the temperature outside was approximately -10ºC and I was glad whenever I reached the hotel to find myself warmed up in no time.
I tried out their indoor pool which was warmed up till a certain hour. Not many people swim here so I had the whole pool to myself.
All in all, a comfy place but nothing special.

I stayed in this hotel in San Jose, California, but at first check in at Haidian, Beijing, no one can speak English and it took little while to check in and got the room. The room is specious, one king bed, table for working, the bathroom is good size and the view is nice from 12th floor. My self and colleagues eat breakfast at hotel very day for six consecutive days, because it included in the price of the too which's reasonably cheap for 490RMB ($85) for four stars hotel. For dinner we walk to big shopping mall and Walt Mart shopping mall which have restaurant role. Keep in mind if you don't speak Chinese you're out of luck just exactly what happened to us, but we manager to get through. All in all it's quite convenient to go around.

The usual Aloft experience, but the nonchalance of the staff seemed a little overwhelming. Staff can be seen wearing their own casual vest, playing on their phones etc.
Desperate need for basic literacy in English, "request for late check-out" ended up being mistaken for early check-out.
But the most testing issue had been the inability for the hotel to lower the temperature any lower than 22 degrees Celsius. This is quite unacceptable during the summer season where temperature exceeded 30! And with the installation of metal mesh curtains that seemed to trap the heat in the room. Management can consider being guided by the advised time of check-in and turning on the air-conditioner in advance.
Room and service seem to exude the usual Aloft vibes but management should review the sub-header as most Aloft bear "A vision of W hotels" but Aloft Haidian immediately tags on as "W hotels" which could be quite misleading.
Forking out a few more bucks to stay at a higher category Fourpoints in the adjoining complex would be a good idea. But if hassle free, keyless and a stay of different sense is what you're looking for then Aloft isn't that bad.
Affordable and pleasant. Decently located in a vicinity with train access and a supermarket. Close to attractions like YuanMingYuan and Summer Palace.

Stayed 2 nights under smog. Went out once with kids to the Summer Palace, very close about 10 minutes by taxi. Average hotel service, nothing fancy or extraordinary. Due to the pollution, stayed most of time inside. Hopefully can come back and see the blue sky of my childhood.

This hotel is average to say the least and it leaves much to desire...
    Here's my insight:
    - Staff has terrible English.
    - Rooms are dingy and smelly.
    - Although the hotel says its non smoking this is not true, you constantly see people smoking in corridors and ash trays next to the elevator full with cigarette butts.
    - The safe boxes in the room ARE NOT hinged to anything. I called because my safe wasn't working and a lady came over, picked the safe up with no effort and carried it away. When I complained to the front desk they told me all the safes in the rooms are like that. Baffling!
    - The location of the hotel is terrible. If you are a tourist, stay away from this place... The subway is far away and with NO traffic you are still about 30 min away from the city life. Besides there are no restaurants or anything nearby except a mall which has disappointing food and no English speakers.
I didn't have a bad experience as such just many small things that fell together. At the end of the day, I wouldn't stay here again or recommend the place to anybody...
