I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

This hotel provides free airport transfer, it is 24hours basis and the hotel location is not so far from the airport. I called the person in charge of the hotel shuttle when waiting for my luggage (the mobile number was provided during my booking), when I met him in front of the pick up gate, hotel shuttle arrived in about 8min.
Size of the room is just ok, simple design and cleanliness is acceptable for me. Overall I just need a bed for me to just spend few hours to catch the next flight in the morning. Buffet breakfast was simple with not many choices.
For the transfer from hotel to the airport, they depart every 30mins. Once you missed it, you have to wait for next session. So please plan your time wisely as you never know how's the traffic.

  • Convenient PEK hotel

I stayed here for two nights for a quick stay in Beijing. I booked the hotel a few weeks ahead to give it a try, since I had a late arrival. It turned out I was almost 2 hours delay, ended up I arrived PEK at around 2 am in the morning.
I did not see any sign or greeting person after I got out the Chinese custom. I did not have a Chinese phone to call. Good enough I found an Information Desk right outside the custom in the passenger greeting area. I told them my hotel information. They called the hotel greeting person immediately. I was told to sit around that area to wait for him. About 8 min, he showed up and asked for my name. He was very nice, and he had been waited for me and others in the same filght for more than 2 hours due to the delay.
The shuttle drive was 10 min, and the check-in was fast.
The room was big enough for an airport hotel. It had a free internet, but no wifi (only in the lobby). Breakfast buffet was 16 rmb, cheap and good with a variety. I ended up had a lunch in the restaurant before I headed out to the city (they had shuttle to send me back to the airport). So everything was convenient, and nice. It was not quite up to 4-star, but very close to. The breakfast and lunch were good and reasonable price. I think it has pretty much everything I need for a quick stay in Beijing. So I will stay here again.

I chose this hotel as I had a late night flight into Beijing, and an early morning flight away. Maximizing hours of sleep was premium. I'd organized the free shuttle from the airport, and had a Chinese-speaking friend confirm with the hotel that evening. Nevertheless, I stood at the exit of my on-time domestic flight for forty minutes before the hotel representative showed up with my name on a sign (we made several calls to the hotel in the meantime). Once I'd arrived at Qihang, I found the room comfortable, the sleep good, and the early morning (5.30 am) shuttle to the airport was flawless.

We stayed here not by choice, but were booked by the organization we were working with while in China. The hotel is near the airport (10 min drive if traffic is light) but is in a demilitarized zone. Absolutely nothing is near this hotel and cabs won't pick you up at the hotel without a booking (!) 24 hours in advance. The room was barely passable--questionably clean-ish but the carpets were filthy. Air conditioning barely functioned and you must leave a key in an electronic switch for it to function. The coup de gras was when we went to reclaim our 100 RMB cash deposit after turning in our key and the front desk refused to give us the refund without a copy of our receipt... Even though they had a copy of our check in registry and our passports. We raised a stink and they eventually threw the money onto the counter. Stay away but if you're stuck here, it's manageable for one night.
