I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • The people make it.

The people running this place make it, for me, a 5/5 place to stay. They've been more helpful than I would've hoped for. Booking us a last minute great wall tour, last minute train tickets to shanghai, and helping us out with a counterfeit money issue. It feels like they really care about helping us out.
The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Wifi is good. Location is good, quiet alley close to subway stations.

This hostel we found would probably suit Chinese nationals more than the foreign backpacker hoping for a socialable environment to meet other travellers and glean travel advice. If you are hoping for reception support you might be unlucky, as we were. The bedrooms (we moved once, in the hope we were simply unlucky) were windowless, stank of stale cigarettes, had tired mattresses, but were sort of clean. Set very close to the Lama Temple, the Hutong is amazingly quiet, and restuarants are close. We moved to Peking international backpackers, which is great and they were very helpful with booking our trip to the Great Wall. This hostel said no one wants to go and also said they had fallen out with taxi drivers so would not call one for us. Would I recommend this hostel...no, I suggest looking elsewhere.

This is the hotel we stayed at to meet visitors from the USA. Very convenient to subway, airport transfers, and attractions. We had a wonderful stay and we would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a nice, clean hotel in Beijing.

  • Like Having Your Own Home in Beijing

I stayed five nights at The Classic Courtyard in April 2014, and I am very happy that I found this small hotel. The receptionist staff speak English adequately, and they go beyond ordinary duty in making guests feel at home there. The overall atmosphere is like living in your own hutong home in old Beijing. The facilities are adequate and comfortable. Some electrical wall outlets added to the bathrooms would be make the bathrooms more convenient. The food served at breakfast and dinner is excellent. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

This hotel was a welcome relief after a ghastly first night in Beijing. Friendly and informed staff ready to help. Relaxing red couches in the foyer. Food available and excellent fresh coffee. Always a personal touch.
