Stayed Three Nights - Great Breakfast
Guida S
Washington, Illinois | Oct 17, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyWe stayed here three nights while in Beijing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and nice. However, since it was not summer time (October) the A/C was not permitted to be on even though it was warm outside 73+ degrees. Our rooms were HOT & stuffy. I didn't sleep well the first night and we complained to our tour guide and she spoke with the manager and I guess they got permission to turn the A/C on, but it was only one degree cooler in our room the next night and it was a lost battle. Our room temp was about 74 degrees and the was just no airflow. So be aware of that.
The breakfast was good! Lots of Western & Local options. Fresh fruit, eggs, steamed buns, sausage, bacon, steamed veggies. We stayed in three different hotels while in China and this by far had the best breakfast and it was included in our stay.
This hotel did have a fitness center and it was pretty standard. I used it once during our stay and it had everything that I needed (treadmill & weights).
The hotel was quiet. The beds were hard, but I am OK with that.
There was also free wi-fi in the room & lobby. It worked well for the most part. I was able to log on every night and share pictures with my friends & family.
I would stay here again and would recommend it - the location was good and the area was nice. -
Good for the price

Oct 8, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayWe found the free wifi and breakfast exceeded expectations with alot of choices both western and chinese (the omelets are great). The pool and gym facilities are clean and well maintained and we could not fault the room other than the fact we would have preferred a fridge (listed in our booking). When we enquired about this we were told no mini bars in the hotel. Even though we found an empty cabinet were a fridge would have gone and a mini bar price list above it.
ENGLISH NOT UP TOO STANDARDS. Some staff put the effort in to interpret what it was we were trying to say. Most others (even staff we were directed too as the english speaking staff) not only couldnt communicate but left you wondering if they even cared.
THERE WAS NO FREE SHUTTLE BUS. Dont know why this is listed. When we enquired about it we were made to feel like a huge burden, rudely dismissed and told it doesnt run anymore. However taxis were cheap and readily available and the subway was a 15 min walk.
Overall some of the more junior staff were great, the more experienced reception staff were borderline rude and put out because foreigners were staying in the hotel. -
Great hotel in Beijing

Charleston, South Carolina | Oct 7, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesReally nice hotel. Very large and spacious rooms. Nice helpful staff. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was horrible! To be fair, it was right before closing time....but how do you mess up Fried Rice....in China? Breakfast was 1st class though, every day!
Hotel is in a good location. I would recommend it! -
Good Tourist Hotel
Travlintone
Chippenham, England | Oct 3, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayGood tourist hotel but little to distinguish it from lots of others.
There is a nice indoor pool with a powerful jet to practice your swimming against. Whizzy electronic locker keys so no need for coins! Towels available at the pool reception.
As with all Chinese hotel pools you need a swimming cap. The pool reception sells them (15 Yuan) or do as many tourists do and wear a shower cap!
General notes on Chinese hotels
Chinese make little distinction between the type of food eaten at different meal times. Expect cooked vegetable and meat dishes at breakfast.
Milk is not often available automatically with tea or coffee. You may need to ask; try to make it clear if you want it hot or cold – good luck with that! :-) -
Passable
AVIDTRAVELLER53
Toronto, Canada | Sep 30, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessStayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of our China trip. Though named Downtown, it is not really located downtown. In fact it is rather far from everywhere.
Check-in efficiency needs to be improved. I made the booking on the Accor website, inclusive of breakfast. But the check-in agent said otherwise. It took a while to explain and show my booking confirmation to convince the agent to agree.
This seems to be their "standard practice" because another guest checking in had the same problem and had to do a fair bit of convincing before the agent agreed.
Hotel construction design is somewhat awkward. Takes time to adjust and understand.
Room construction design also is not "normal" and lacks sufficient natural light. There is a big wall which could have easily been made a window.
On both nights that we stayed there was a strong, offensive smell (perhaps the room freshener they use). Had to complain. Housekeeping came with another spray which neutralized the smell.
Bed linen, towels, wifi, toilet - all were okay. The fitness center was quite small and sparsely equipped.
Dinner and buffet breakfast was reasonably good. A special deal for dinner at the restaurant, advertised in the elevators was not available. We had to take our server to the elevator to show what we were asking before they took our order!
Though our overall stay was okay, this hotel would not be our natural choice in Beijing.
