my general opinion

Tianjin Region, China | Sep 17, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessComfortable and like to come again. With less experience to the breakfast due to personal morning habits. But will try more next time.
BTW, the survey is good. But it takes a little bit more time to complete. Maybe it is better to do it on site and by items (no need to ask all the questions to everyone.)

Not the 5 -star you are expecting...not showing that their value their customers

Kunshan, China | Jul 11, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessUnfortunately have to write this review because first 2 days of stay were nice, but last 4 are not so nice. During the entire stay, the restaurant staff was great and house keeping was very helpful and friendly even though they did not speak English, which is not an issue as we found the way to communicate, but this place simply did not show that they care about their customers when it actually matters. It started with the check-in - beautiful lobby, nice "cover", but when it came to credit cards 3 of my credit cards did not work with their machines (Visa, Master Card and Amex), and when I offered to pay with a Chinese Bank Card they would not accept. But guess what -they will take payment via Wechat? Once I paid in full the entire stay in advance via wechat, they were very clear that they will take the bar out (bcs they cant charge me automatically) - I mean WTH! Already assuming I will steal from you!? The room is nice, but once you look at details you see lack of attention to detail - AC ducts, ventilation ducts in shower, tiles in the bathtub, water marks on counter tops, etc. Did not bother me, but they claim 5-star so...Then TV would not work - I call and the service was quick, but the solution was that I was left with 2 remotes - one to turn-on the TV and one to turn-off the TV :). Ok, I can deal with 2 remotes. Then looking at the TV channels in the TV brochure it says 13 international channels - actually only 2 so ended up watching one damn channel to relax after long day -it wasn't even sports or travel channel. Then the AC - it was set to 19, but never reached that and after waking up sweating 3 mornings in a row, I decided to call it in. Again, quick service, and even quicker repair....which lasted only 15 minutes...and back to sweating again. Tired of calling in anymore. Then the gym - I use gym often, but this is the worst one. I do not know what do they have against lights - they use spot lights in the gym to the point that I want to fall asleep when I walk in. Some sections are in the dark. I later went in earlier when it was more bright outside when at 6:30pm they started putting SHADES ON to darken the room at low light. I mean who advised you this stuff! I could not take it any longer so I went and ran outside - Beijing traffic was more pleasant than that gym. The pool - you are not allowed to swim without a cap, but the kids are allowed to scream, yell, and throw toys around without considerations for others using the pool. Great! The last straw was when I asked to leave 1 day earlier (booked 6) - my business was finished a day earlier and I had 2 extra days instead of 1 planned. They had absolutely no sense of "valuable member" customer service-they kept repeating "sir, no cancellations", "sir, no cancellations" and I kept repeating "I am not canceling, I've been here already and I will leave tomorrow regardless, but would appreciate if you can credit the last night". Even the assistant manager who was foreign was very robotic in her response "sir, no cancelations". What happen with being more polite along the lines of "sir, we understand blablabla.. but we simply cannot refund the last night because we are full and blablabla"...or how about " no, problem sir, you spent $1000 here in one stay and we value your future business, although we can't refund you the night how about we give you the credit for future stay"...or something along the lines to show that you value your customers. That actually would show they really care and I would not mind all the small stuff that happen. Unfortunately, due to this experience they have literally lost my and my company's business for measly $150. So, I don't mind the small stuff and I'm not hung up when people just don't know, but when they don't care and don't value you as a customer, then I really do not wish to give them my business.
