  My previous review of this hotel placed it in the category of "ok if the travel partner books it, but not concerned either way". Now this has become my Beijng hotel of choice. I travel on business to China a lot and often have several nights in one hotel. That means you become very aware of what is good and what is less good in a hotel.
  Over the past 18 months, this hotel really has upped its game. The service in the Club lounge is the best of any Beijing hotel and the rooms are spacious, well appointed and very clean.
  The location is good, it is only a few stops by subway to the central sights but has the advantage over Wangfujing of being quieter and as a single female traveller, there are far more walking options in the vicinity which I feel are safe. And when the weather chills down, the attached mall is very pleasant to wander around. Those looking to eat outside the hotel can also use restaurants in the mall for variety.

  i stayed there at the wrong time ! it should not be an excuse for the hotel but it was reality! october holiday time ! second worst time in the year ,so thats why i will not give any comments only some point outs!
  bad : time , food ! because of time !
  good: room was big and quiet, location
  very good : 2 young stuff handling the executive lounge ,alex and julia, very good service,also the way how they handle the complains and needs from the guests in such high professional and friendly way ,any hotel in the world could be great to gave them in bord

• Nice business hotel in a convenient location

  I stayed here for 5 nights during a recent holiday in Beijing. I chose this hotel based on it's location (close to a subway station). The hotel is a typical 4 star business hotel, nothing special of note, but nothing to complain about. The staff spoke enough english to answer all my questions, and were very helpful answering my questions. All hotels in Beijing are now non-smoking, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Chaoyangmen subway station, which is very convenient to two subway lines. The hotel is attached to the U-Town mall, which contains a mix of big name stores, restaurants, and a small Lotte grocery store. It was very convenient being attached to the mall, as there were a few times I was in a rush for a meal. There is also a Starbucks and a couple other coffee shops close by. I would certainly consider staying here again.

  we were very well looked after and the staff were very helpful with the wheelchair. The room was beautiful with a view of U Town high rises. The bar/restaurant next door was very good and reasonable. Breakfast was very varied and plentiful.

• A good hotel which could be even better

  I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Septmeber 2015. This is a large "business style" hotel. The cavernous lobby does not present a great first impression. It is large, impersonal and "cold" looking. I counted 3 seats and a sofa in the whole of this vast space. Check-in was easy and pleasant. The receptionist was efficient and spoke good enough English. The bedroom was large and definitely 5-star. Huge bed with cool white cotton sheets and duvet. Bathroom also large and marble. Everything positive except the WiFi which was flakey - up one minute and down the next. This seems to be a recurrent problem and needs to be fixed. Breakfast was extremely good, with an enormous choice of dishes from Asia and beyond. I was surprised however that the breakfast egg chefs did not speak any English whatsoever! I would have expected the dedicated egg chefs (I came across 3 of them) would understand the words "two fried eggs please"! However, I coped and didn't go hungry! The hotel has a German themed bar/restaurant which is rather surreal but pleasant enough. All in all a good experience, and a recommended hotel which is conveniently located for all the main tourist attractions (via car or bike - you cannot really walk very far in Beijing because of the road layout, which is definitely not pedestrian friendly). The "Blue Frog" bar immediately adjacent to the main entrance to the hotel offers a good atmosphere and food and beers at very reasonable prices, and I would thoroughly recommend.
