Great place to stay and so easy to see the sights of Beijing. Staff are very friendly and a super breakfast. Room is also vey nice and a good size. I hope that someday I have the chance to return to stay there.

The hotel is typically Holiday Inn style. Rooms and facilities are of good standard with friendly staff, many of whom speak good English.
Small but adequate gym.
Near subway station which is a great way to get around Beijing.

Stayed here on multiple occasions over the last few years, and again 4 nights this week.
My general experience is one of a clean, well maintained and functional 4 star hotel. The rooms are ok, the equipment works, although the toilets tend to get blocked easily (embarrassing...)
Most of the staff is very friendly, professional and with reasonable English.
The restaurant, which serves good quality food, has a nice little inner courtyard (covered) with cobble stones and a view to a pretty facade, giving a bit of a European feel.
The breakfast buffet has a reasonable selection and the quality of whats served is good. I wish it had some more quality breads and a bit more on the cheese/cold cuts side, but all in all its decent. Each cup of coffee is freshly brewed instead of those stale, burnt, percolated coffee's you so often get in hotels here.
I do miss a swimming pool.
Overall an ok hotel, nothing great but alright.
It says "downtown hotel" but it not exactly in the center of things, there is nothing too exciting nearby, i.e. within walking distance. The hotel is on the south-west side of Beijing, good if you need to be in this vicinity, as traffic in Beijing is terrible and it seems to be getting worse every day.
A good name needs to upgrade.

It is one of the hotels that I usually stay when I visit Beijing. Though it has gone through some renovations, I find the services are not exactly the same level that I used to experience. Several old faces have gone. The new faces seems to be less committed. It is located in a good location, It is near to a subway station, one big shopping mall and one commercial building with 5 floors of small shops selling all kinds of staff at attractive prices. So, it will be pity not to take full advantage of these by paying more attention to the training of staff.

The hotel may have seen its years and is ready for a revamp.. stayed on the second floor and the room was really small and old. My pet peeve was that the aircon wasn't working at all.. It was hot and stuffy and according to the reception, it's still spring time that's why they have yet change it to cool air.. However, it was a really hot April.. So the discomfort was really apparent.. all in all, it was a bad experience..
