Good location for business
Aburel
Bucharest, Romania | Mar 9, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessAs mentioned, for business the location is great, right in the financial district. Common spaces are very nice and the staff is super great. Very clean and well appointed. Rooms are large, well equipped, nice complimentary water, large bathrooms with separate shower and toilet. A nice coffee machine instead of the instant coffee would have been better. I felt the room being a bit dated and some need to have it upgraded. Otherwise no complains. Breakfast was nice but the European choices were kind of limited, but that’s almost everywhere. The fruit one was great though. The business lounge was nice and the offer there was good.

Excellent Business Hotel
Peter N
London, United Kingdom | Mar 8, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessWe held a business meting and dinner at the Ritz Carlton and, as a professional events manager, I must say the hotel could not have been more perfect. It is in a great location for the financial district (a it like Canary Wharf in London) and convenient for the Forbidden city.
The hotel is modern and in good order with spacious bedrooms, with good sized bathrooms and comfortable beds. There are a couple of restaurants and the hotel is connected to a very high end shopping mall, which has loads of other food outlets (and other places nearby).
The thing I liked most about the hotel were the staff, from the events team, concierge, to the restaurant staff who were very welcoming and gave you the 5-star treatment. And what I really liked was that the management team were in the lobby each morning greeting guests. And I love it when I am abroad and I find the hotel management is run by Germans, because you know everything will run like clockwork!
I look forward to returning. -
Nice business hotel in Xidan
Traveleator
Singapore, Singapore | Mar 3, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessLocation: Near the big banks in Beijing, western side of Tienanmen
Hotel: One big block with a few restaurants, lobby bar and conference center
Room: Well anointed with a small protrusion in french windows making it a concealed 'balcony' feeling
Positives: Good amenities, bath and shower were of good size; free coffee and
Negatives: The lobby bar prices were off the charts; even their coffee was over US$12
Ranking at time of writing: #16 of 6,721 Hotels in Beijing
The hotel is located in the 'Financial Street' area of Beijing which houses many banks and insurance companies along with the PBOC. The metro is 10-15 mins walk away. There aren't many attractions in the immediate vicinity but Tienanmen square is 20 mins by taxi and so are Houhai Lake (along with the bars/restaurants) and Nanluogo Jie within 20 mins from the hotel.
The hotel is a single building with ~20 odd floors. There are multiple restaurants and a lobby bar, which was very expensive. The hotel entrance and lobby don't exude uber-luxury but the rooms were well done and impressive. They served free coffee and pastries in the morning, so if you aren't a big breakfast eater you can grab a bite here.
My room was big with a double bed, chaise sofa and a table for writing with a chair. The protrusion in the window gave a nice feel to the room. The bathroom was big as well.
If you're in Beijing for business in and around Xidan/Xicheng then the hotel makes for a great stay. -
Excellent, and a bit cheaper on weekends
8Shanghai
Tokyo, Japan | Feb 26, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelBecause this first-class hotel is located in the financial district in Beijing, it is very convenient for business but a bit inconvenient for sight-seeing. However, the service level including the quality of the staffs is high, and the cost is a bit cheaper on weekends. Many staffs speak English. So, it may be a good choice to stay on weekends for sight-seeing. This hotel is next to a big shopping mall and there are many restaurants, coffee shops, and a super market for foreigners in it, so you don't have to worry about the cost for having foods in the hotel. There is a 24 hour fitness center, including a swimming pool or an athletic gym in the basement level.
