  Great hotel and great service. HOWEVER we were disappointed with not knowing in advance about the evening and afternoon. curfew of 3 days of the hotel area due to the government parade rehearsals. That caused us major hassle and limited our ability to reach and get back from meetings. This should have been notified to us in advance so we would note have been choosing the hotel. Service team and in particular the general manager assisted by letting stay at hotel for longer hours on checkout day and arranging for a shuttle bus to airport but the hotel should have been warning us ahead of checking in to hotel.

  Stayed here and have to say it was lovely. The staff were great and the hotel was very clean.
  Was a bit disappointed with the buffet dinner. Was good but not great for the stars it has. Lack of fruit and vegetables was evident . Rooms were lovely but some places need a bit of a work to keep it maintained o a high standard.

  I have spent a lot of my business life traveling from hotel room to hotel room ... after a while they all look pretty much the same ‍♂️
  
  But this week I was stopped in my tracks when I had the pleasure of staying at The Legendale Hotel, Beijing. A splendid creation of classic style ... certainly not what I expected to find in Beijing
  
  If ever you get a chance to visit Beijing, do yourself a favour and visit The Legendale ... even if all you do is enjoy the splendour of the lobby.
  

• Big Hotel, needs cleaning and updating in the rooms

  First off the great stuff: The staff. Every single staff member that I encountered was polite, professional, and attempted to speak English for me. The Concierge was superb. Housekeeping staff wonderful. Room Service staff excellent.
  
  Moving to my room review. I was slightly disappointed to see that the crown molding and air conditioning vents in my room were dirty, which, is unacceptable for a 5 - star hotel. Some of the walls in the room needed repainting. Overall the room (suite), needed a refresh.
  
  I find the above remarks typical in many 4-5 start hotels in China (10 years travel there). The hotel lobby was fantastic, but that greatness did not transfer upstairs to my suite. So the overall hotel and staff were great, but the room was only average, and not 5 - star.

  Hotel is well maintained, the rooms are large and clean. Staff is kind and helpful especially for Indonesian guy who really worked hard for us, he was able to assist us with our questions with efficiency and enthusiasm. He always do his best to answers our question even when we asking a lot of questions to him, even when we have a problem with AC in the room, he comes to our room and resolved the problem with a smile and very professional attitude. Cheers to him, We are feeling at home with this kind of hospitality. Breakfast was unbelievable with many options for us, also the swimming pool was fantastic. A small issue we had is when we are in the restaurant, the staff cant speak English. In the breakfast time, they are quite busy, and we are asking something to the manager, but what we order never come to us. We just see the manager and the staff are talking or even playing mobile phone even when they are busy. Overall, I will recommend this hotel to my friends and for sure when we come again to Beijing, we will stay again in this hotel.
