Yoy can find better for same amount of money
snaji92
Jul 17, 2025The staff knows not a single english word (how ever they are friendly and try their best to ubderstand you) and the rooms are dirty. The beds are harder then a rock, seriously you would probably be more comfortable sleeping on the floor.
The WiFi was good. -
Very thin walls, staff not extremely helpful
VeganMummy
Bamaga, Australia | Nov 5, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyArriving into Beijing by train, our first contact with the hotel was to call them to see if they could arrange a car to pick us up (to get a taxi is VERY difficult). The receptionist who answered couldn't speak english so transferred me but no one ever answered and then they hung up. Wasn't happy about that. Ok, so no help with getting us to the hotel!
On arrival, check in process was ok, quite slow though. Our room was ok, although I requested a Twin room (with 2 beds), we were given a King Size Bed. I was too tired to complain so just put up with it. We barely slept at all that night as the people in the room next to us were talking VERY loudly all night (I am 100% sure they were gambling which is apparently illegal in this hotel). They finished up around 4.15am. Whilst I don't think this is the hotel's fault (that we were unlucky enough to be next door to them), I do think they should have not allowed it to continue for so long. Multiple people complained about the noise and still, they were not evicted!
On check out, we asked again if they could arrange a car to take us to the train station. Given that we have a 2 year old child, we didn't want to stand around outside in the snow to try and get a taxi. They were very unhelpful with this too. They wouldn't even help with getting us a taxi. Best they would do is write the train station down in Chinese for us to show the taxi driver. Gee thanks!!! Took approx 25min for a taxi.
All in all, this hotel is OK! The price was good (188RMB per night) but I still think they could give better service. -
Overpriced and smelly

Sydney, Australia | Apr 19, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelNot sure why anyone stays here but it seems popular with loud Chinese tourists. The rooms badly need updating and unfortunately the drains are pretty smelly. The wifi is so slow as to be practically non existent. The sheets had holes in them. They charge a lot more than much nicer places just around the corner so I really don't get it. I was only paying half price and still felt it was poor value. If you want to pay this much walk up the Hutong to the place with the Starbucks sign. You'll get a nice new room with Antique Chinese furniture for less. It's quite remarkable!

Dirty, filthy and grubby
N R
Barcelona | Aug 26, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayWe were shocked to see the filth and dirt in our first room. The walls were so dirty previous guests had graffitid the wall. We changed room immediately to another grubby room but without the graffiti filth. The bed had lots of black hairs and dirt. The walls had stains and all kinds. The room was cramped and dirty. The key cards never worked. We always had to have staff let us in the room. The cleaners never helped us in they just sat in the corridor staircase. The towels were so dirty. The bed sheets had blood stains on our third night to which I had to have them changed. It was extremely expensive for the dirtiness.

Do not stay!
NathanielS
Daejeon, South Korea | Apr 3, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayWhile this "hotel" is cheap it is certainly not worth the price. We paid $23CAD for one room, two twin beds. Arrived, got to our room, one double bed. Had to go back down to the front desk to get another room. No apology or anything.
We come up to our "new" room and it's small, cramped and very old. The beds were extremely hard even for Asia (I have previously lived in Korea and currently live in China), there were dead bug splatters over all 4 walls and even the ceiling. There were scuff marks at least 4 feet up the walls. My sheet had 4 red stains on it that looked very close to that of blood. Holes in the sheets of the other bed.
The location is alright as it's close to the Forbidden City and such but the area around this hotel is not nice to say the least. Definitely in a shady part of town.
We booked two nights here but decided to go elsewhere for night #2. Not worth it unless you're used to crappy rooms, poor service and uncomfortable beds.
