Well situated, good points and worrying points
DandJandFam
London, United Kingdom | May 10, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesThe rooms were mostly good and comfortable although the bathroom door looked well worn. Despite the no smoking policy, the corridors smelled of cigarette smoke and our friends had to move rooms because of the smell.
Service was generally good and the dining room at breakfast had a buzz.
Worryingly the fire doors were locked at one point when one of us tried walking instead of taking the lift.
Location is good, either to get to the centre or just to walk around and explore the parks and smart shops, or to visit the local Silk Street market -
Stayed one night

May 8, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessClean and tidy. Bed ok. Air con sufficient. Checkin/out nice and quick. Only had croissant and coffee at breakfast but good enough. Used the bar and service was fine. I would stay here again for short term business. Only 30 mins from the airport.

Not what expected
Shirley B
Apr 22, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyWe have stated in many 4 star hotels in China and as popular as this one is it was not up to standards for us. It is within walking distance to the school market and easy subway access to the pearl market. The stay was not a 4 star accommodation. Our toilet would not flush and could not be fixed, it was a broken handle. We were told that we would get free shuttle to the airport. The bus was broken down and they would not offer to pay our way. Which was a perk of why we had paid a little more. The air conditioner had not been turned on as of yet so we had to open the windows. Very noisy we were above refrigerator condensers and could not be moved. We went to the front desk to exchange money. They didn't take the time to wait on us for a good 5 minutes, after we had asked several times. When we did get waited on it took another 5 minutes to get the exchange. Not only had they run out of money and had to get more they had trouble counting it. The machine counter would consistently give a different number about each time.

Mostly good

Hamilton, New Zealand | Mar 17, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThis hotel is well located, just a few metro stops from Tianamen Square and only 30 minutes (albeit on a Saturday evening) from the airport. This is the fourth time I have stayed here, and the room and staff were as good as always. The only disappointment (and my fault for choosing it) was the food from the room service menu - no problems with the prompt service, but the "Jinglun Burger - Beef burger topped with grilled red onions bacon and cheese served with mushrooms and French fries" was very tough, even though it was medium rare, and it came without the "grilled red onions"..., oh, and also without the bacon..., oh, and also without the mushrooms. So burger and chips, really. Other than this, mostly good.

Good location, average services

Seattle, Washington | Feb 7, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThe location is quite good, which is close to the Tiananmen Square and Central Business District (Jianwai). However, I highly suggest that guest choose the subway to get there since the traffic jam is extremely serivous during the rush hours. The room and restaurant service is ok, if you are not a picky guest. But the hardwares are out of date and the room is small in size, and the furniture is badly maintained I think, the cable TV doesn't work at all.
