I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Disappointing
    H-Family-Travels
Baku, Azerbaijan | Oct 20, 2025 | Trip type: Family

The hotel was clean and well-appointed, but the room temperatures were variable and difficult to control. As a family of four we had requested two adjacent rooms, but they could only offer two rooms on the same floor. The temperature in our children's room was 20-22 C, but we could not get the temperature in our room below 28 C even with the a/c on its max. setting. Even after two visits from the a/c engineer the situation was not resolved. After 2 nights we were offered a different room, though this was only marginally better.
Otherwise the hotel was comfortable, clean, and the breakfast buffet had an extensive selection of western and Chinese food. There are a number of local restaurants within walking distance. Lobby bar has range of snacks, but has the smallest "wine by the glass" we have ever seen!

The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are big and the shower is ok. The breakfast is ok as well - it mixed between Chinese and western breakfast. The pool and gym are very clean. The staff in the hotel are very nice and speaks a pretty good English.
The hotel restaurant during the night called - Salt&Peper is kinda horrible, the pizza tastes like a microwave pizza and the salads are pretty boring, but again the restaurant staff is very friendly and offer a good service.
The hotel itself is not very well located, it's in a middle of a living area and spa streets. Not many shops or western restaurants around the hotel - just Chinese.
To sum it up, the hotel itself is all u need in 4 star hotel, it's clean and comfortable, be ready to use the metro or taxi service.

  • Clean, nice hotel with decent price

    Hotel, Rooms:
    - You will only believe when you visit to one of those Holiday or Crown Plaza hotels in China. In USA or elsewhere, those chained hotel are branded as "mid range" but here in China, they are 4 stars hotels. Yes, this hotel could be the nicest Holiday Inn I've been. Building is more upscale with bigger reception area, multiple restaurants included and even rooms are bigger.
    - I did not know how much the room rate is (I was with package tour) but on the internet, it is $60-70/night which is excellent value with full breakfast included.
    Service:
    - Quite adequate and at least they speak English at the reception. They also sent help right away when I can not reopen the deposit safe in my room.
    - Very clean gym room and indoor pool. Pool is about 20 meters in length and so technically, you can not called it "Olympic size" but it is a nice one. Spa and shops on the same, 2nd floor.
    Tips:
    - Free breakfast is quite comprehensive but nothing tasted outstanding or memorable. Make sure to grab your free water bottles there before exploring Beijing. I will not recommend to eat at hotel unless you are super lazy to walk. 178 yuans (i.e. nearly $30) per person for dinner buffet is ridiculously expensive in China. My friend from our tour group ordered fried rice from hotel and paid nearly that amount and still not tasted good.
    - Instead walk outside the hotel, there is a 2 lane street called "Caiyuanjie Street." Turn right onto that street. There are multiple restaurants and some have English menus with the vivid pictures of the dishes. E.g Youth restaurant but it closed at 9pm. So we went to restaurant across the street and it was a great find. Even chef from other restaurants ate there. Simple, tasty Chinese dishes with picture menu and yes, 178 yuans could feed a family of 4-5 there with soft drinks included! Their most expensive item is spicy fish which is around 80 yuans and that contains 2 big fishes with vegetables. Looks very exotic, and a lot of locals ordered that. If you walk a bit further, you will see a busy intersection called Baizhifang St and even more options to eat and shop including bakery.
    Things could improve:
    1) Smoking inside hotel room is not allowed and law recently passed in China. But it is not strictly enforced and I saw some Chinese tourists smoking in their room with door open. It is bad for us, non-smokers but hotels might not want to take action as many Chinese do smoke and they could take business away if they are told to follow the law.
    2) You can have made-to-order omelet, noodles or even exotic rice cake at breakfast area. But staff do not speak English (at least they pretend they don't) and often step out without saying a word after making one omelet for customer in front of you. It appears in their faces like you are bothering them and that is bad.

  • Decent place
    HKT99
Hong Kong Region, China | Sep 19, 2025 | Trip type: Business

It's a nice hotel. Not the typical Holiday Inn. The breakfast was good, the staff are good and attentive. The rooms were nice and modern and clean. The only reason to withhold the 5th star is the location is ok. It was good from my work point but otherwise the location is ok.

  • Unpretentious Hotel with Top Notch Staff
    AAKelly
Brisbane, Australia | Sep 14, 2025 | Trip type: Business

When I arrived at the hotel, i was a little disappointed at the location and the general surroundings - Crowne Plaza it isn't! However, in recent trips to China, we noticed that our business account often took as much as two weeks to clear the hotel block on the credit/debit card which is a huge inconvenience, so we devised the policy of paying for the rooms in advance and leaving a deposit for the services, thereby limiting our exposure to the delay. Not alchemic-in staff understand this, and are often quite difficult about it. Not so in the Central Plaza. The staff immediately understood and were good humoured about our parsimonious ways.
The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. The beds (well, at least mine was) so comfortable and as a result of the red eye to HK and the connection to Beijing the couple of nights in the Central Plaza was perfect.
Breakfast was first class, and when I finally explained that I wanted my egg sunny side up, the chef said, "Ahh, medium rare!!" From now no, my eggs are going to be medium rare.
So, ignore the location and enjoy a good hotel in an expensive city for a reasonable price.
