  This was once a very lovely hotel, but is showing signs of age. service for English speakers is limited. Rooms have no air conditioning, windows open slightly so not great for air circulation. Stains on carpets throughout the suite. rooms are large and will equipped. request for additional wine glasses was a fight but eventually arrived. Staff are friendly and do try to help you but, for an international city, there is definitely a communication gap.
  The beds are horrible, a wooden slab with a thin futon type mattress, extremely uncomfortable.
  compared to other hotels we stayed in china the breakfast was somewhat limited, but to be fair the quality of food was very good.
  The suite we booked was very large and comfortable, however the furniture was old and worn out.

  The hotel is very good.
  If want non smoking floors ask for it. The non smoking floors are up to 10th floor.
  Rooms are very ckean and big. Free Wi Fi. Computer in every room as well.
  Breakfast is perfect. Exchange money rate is very fair.
  Staff is very kind but almost no English speakers.
  Gym room… no or very poor, however, good foot massage and hair cut with fair prices.
  I stay here for the 4th time and very stasfied.

  This hotel was a good stay, the service at breakfast was great and they had plenty of staff to refill my coffee and take away dirty plates - the only downside is that the rooms needed updating but they where clean. The beds however are too hard - don't try to jump into bed as you will have a shock and may break some bones.

  Overall, the place is pretty good. Room (superior king) and bathroom were very nice size. Very nice pool area. Buffet too expensive (~$23/person). Was slightly overcharged for great wall tour, but the hotel was great in making up for it in compensation and free amenities. Also, the management was very helpful and worked hard to help me when I had problem with ATM machine. Only, negative is location...east of hotel is not a great area, but it is not hotel's fault. Subway is 2-3 blocks west of hotel towards Tiananmen square which is 1 stop away. Good value.

  A monstrosity of a building with no aesthetic appeal. The rooms are old and shabby, staff do not speak English well and smoking permeates all floors, including the so-called non-smoking floors. The hotel is not used to dealing with foreign guests so best to look elsewhere unless you speak Mandarin. I was here as part of a group so did not select it myself and have stayed at many Beijing hotels; this was, by far, the worst. You have many fine choices in Beijing so look elsewhere.
