I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • A week at Xijiao Hotel
    AdrianZheng
Beijing Region, China | Sep 13, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travel

I've been staying at this hotel for about a week. In general, it's fine. The location is quite strategic for those who like shopping and dining, as it is near to Wudaokou shopping and dining district. The rate is also still affordable. Internet connection is available but the speed seems to be very slow. The refrigerator in my room was not working. The room, especially the bathroom, seems rather old and needs repainting. The location is also near to several universities, and that's make it practical for those students who want to visit the universities nearby.

  • Rooms OK but wireless does not work
    TheBoyBandsHaveWon
    Europe | Jun 14, 2025 | Trip type: Business

Compared to other hotels in China, this one was relatively clean (although the cleaning personnel is quick and superficial). The toilets and showers are new.
Unfortunately, the internet connection is practically unusable. In most cases, the signal is too low, or it is impossible to establish a connection. Even in those cases when you manage, the speed is annoyingly slow and in practice unusable most of the times. I was able to check emails and exchange chat messages only in few occasions, not to mention skype calls: forget it.
Despite the acceptable level of the rooms, I would never recommend the hotel, or consider returning there myself, unless the wireless situation is drastically improved.

  • an OK stay even at the VIP building #9
    tauiota2
Vancouver, Canada | Apr 10, 2025 | Trip type: Business

I stayed at the building #9 which is the VIP building and it does fit the western standard description. The room was quite large with everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel and more. However, lots of little things were a turn off such as air conditioning system that is fixed at 24C and you cannot do anything about it, delaminating and moldy wallpaper in shower, stained carpet, minibar with fridge that is not operational and staff that speaks no English what-so-ever! Hardest mattresses on the planet and only CNN on TV. Big breakfast if you are into Asian meals early in the morning. Big pool but spitting patrons. Couple average restaurants in the complex.

  • Not so good but not so bad either
    Smiley_face1621
Zurich, Switzerland | Feb 23, 2025 | Trip type: Family

Stayed there with my parents for few nights. The hotel location is pretty good. Got U-Center, the shopping mall near by, subway station yellow line 'Wudaokou', few great restaurants.
The room is okay. Not so big but got everything you would need for your stay; toiletery, hair dryer, air conditioner (which is also heater in winter), kettle, coffee & tea set.
Breakfast got lots of choices mainly Asian style - rice and soup and so on. Not so bad.
Staffs, unfortunately very rare to speak English - very hard for non-chinese travellers. Moreover, the room rate rather expensive (500+ CNY for standard room)
Overall, not so bad - quite okay to stay - but not as great for me to remember anything special from service.

I'm currently in Beijing and am looking at hotels in the Wudaokou area for further visits. I have visited several hotels in the area where I have been greeted warmly and shown more than one bedroom in each, showing their range.
However, this hotel were rude to me at reception; refused to show me a room and changed their excuses as to why not. Consequently, my future visits to Beijing will not be in this hotel
