I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

-If you are looking for the best location in Beijing, you have found your spot! Highly suggest staying here if you are visiting as a tourist. Super close to the Beijing night markets and the Forbidden City. Walking distance to most of the hot spots.
-The rooms are MASSIVE! Tons of space in your room with great showers and amenities.
-The staff were lovely, but we did have a hard time communicating - their English was broken, but we made things work with Google Translate app. They were very helpful in getting us taxis and pointing us in the right direction.
-Breakfast was AMAZING! Tons of options for all travelers - we ate a large breakfast each day and it lasted us for hours and hours.
-The hotel has a spa near the fitness center - it was very nice and we used it a couple times! The fitness center was very nice as well.
-Would highly recommend staying here in Beijing if you are looking for a very nice hotel in an excellent location. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

First, the hotel staff are delightful, helpful and speak pretty good English. This is extremely helpful when asking for help or recommendations. However, some things I was surprised about being a loyal Marriott member:
*There is no coffee in the lobby. If you want coffee beyond the two cups you’re allotted, you must either pay for the capsules that fit in your machine or wait until the restaurant opens at 6:30am. (There is however a McDonald’s up the street which is open 24hours or a Dunkin’ Donuts which opens at 10:00am.)
*Restaurant is good. Buffet for breakfast is also good at $22 dollars. You cannot order a la carte. It’s the buffet or nothing.
Washer/Dryer did not work well. Washer washed, dryer, washed. I’ve had one of these machines so I’m familiar with how they work. A little frustrating.
Kitchen essentials. There are no sharp knives but plenty of pots pans, dishes, cups and glasses. They do not give you dishwasher soap or dishwashing liquid nor did the cleaning people run the dishwasher so I’m not sure what you are expected to do when here for an extended period. Buy it or bring it yourself? There are paper towels which is a bonus! No tee-towels or sponges. Very strange. The kitchen garbage can is the size of an American powder room trash can. This is also strange.
Cleanliness is not of an American Marriott standard. Floors were dusty, kitchen cabinets were grimy. Some of the floor moldings were pulled away from the wall. Again, being a loyal Marriott guest, my expectations were high.
The positives - the location of the hotel is perfect. Much is within walking distance. The two bedroom suites are enormous with plenty of room. The bathrooms are beautiful with a large soaking tub in the master. Showers are roomy and amazing. Lots of closet space and storage. Beds and mattresses are very comfortable.
I rate this as average based on my personal (American) Marriott expectations.

As a background, we were a party of 13 coming off a two week cruise. I booked the two bedroom apartments. Mainly for the washing machine and dryer! The apartment was extremely spacious and was far better than we expected to be honest. Fresh fruit was delivered on arrival with apple juice and Pepsi. There was a lovely freestanding bath in the main room. Great blackout curtains and clean kitchen. It had a beautiful foyer area and was very well located being close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden Palace. A great choice over all.

  • Very comfortable stay

Melbourne, Victoria | May 19, 2025 | Trip type: Couples

We had a lovely one bedroom apartment - spacious and very well set up, with a kitchen/dining/living room area; and a separate bedroom and large bathroom with separate shower. Breakfast in the dining room was satisfactory, with a chef making omelettes, fried eggs, etc.

The apartments are located conveniently near a main shopping street, and within walking distance of the Forbidden City. There is a small "7/11" type store just around the corner, but it was too tiny to be of use for buying food to prepare a simple dinner in the apartment. They sold white bread sandwiches in plastic containers, and sweet fizzy drinks (but no soda). Nothing vegetarian as far as I could tell. We were told the nearest supermarket was a taxi ride away.

There is a tube station close by, and we used it to return from the Summer Palace.

All in all a good choice, although I was disappointed in being unable to find Western style food to bring back to the apartment for dinner.

Grand Rapids, Michigan | May 16, 2025 | Trip type: Couples

Had a large one bedroom apartment that was spacious! Large bedroom and a very large living room with its own work area and kitchen. This is not a hotel with many on site amenities, but does have a large lap pool and does have daily maid service. Location is very good, close to many shops/restaurants. Some language barriers with the staff, but they were all very accommodating.
