I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Definitely dated.
    Dave B

Definitely in China. Very stiff bed. Very open but dated design. Is in need of an update. Great location for seeing things in the city. If you do not smoke, be sure to ask for a non-smoking room. Also, struggled with speaking English at the front desk. Struggled with Wi-fi.

  • vey good location

Minsk, Belarus | Oct 7, 2025 | Trip type: Business

rather big hotel, very good location. the hotel is only for foreigners. the rooms are ok but not for the 5 star hotel. In the hotel there is an exchange automat, but the commission is 30-40 yuan. The hotel is in 7 minutes walk from Wangfujing street.

  • Reception staff need better grasp of english
    Lesley H
Swindon, United Kingdom | Jun 11, 2025 | Trip type: Couples

Hotel well equipped with pool, gym etc, and very well located by Forbidden City. However for a big international hotel the reception staff were poorly trained. Command of english was poor and customer service skills were poor.

  • In the heart of Beijing
    C W
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | May 30, 2025 | Trip type: Business

The hotel is over 30 years old. It has the old hotel charm with spacious room. There is a balcony at every room but it is locked for security reason. There is a private club for expensive power dinner. However it is due for renovation. It is within walking distance to Wangfujing and Tiananmen Square.

  • A Year 2000 Sheraton, with Five Stars!
    Jon H
Toronto, Canada | Nov 5, 2025 | Trip type: Business

Agree with some of the other reviews. The Beijing Hotel might have been awarded five stars once, but it didn't just rest on those laurels, it died on them. Lobby is OK, and the bar on the right of the entrance might convince you it is worth a stay. Don't do it. Rooms are of a quality that matches an OK, older Sheraton. A few staff are friendly and try to please, but only because the older staff haven't beaten it out of them, yet. A Chinese colleague tried to ask staff a question, and was literally told "Why are you bothering me with this?" There are some good five star hotels a few blocks away, and you are not even going to pay more money. No reason to stay here, period.
