a very comfortable stay
mt188
San Francisco, California | Apr 28, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI stayed here for a conference. This is a Chinese hotel, and not a foreign chain, so the experience feels more typical of East Asian luxury hotels than Western. The room itself was for the most part, clean and neat. the bed is comfortable. However, as I have noticed in other Chinese hotels, while the rooms are general clean, the corners of the room seem to gather dust. Lighting and plumbing worked well, no issues there. Ample power outlets including USB ports, but you should realize that there are 3 different types of prongs that are used in this hotel. I was able to use a standard 2 prong flat plug without issue (see photo). Coffee cups and glasses were provided in the room along with a hot pot and tea bags, coffee dripper packs, sugar/liquid coffee mate. There was a mini fridge, partially stocked (so lots of space for your own snacks!), mini safe, and they provide 2 bottles of water a day (note: tap water in China is not drinkable. While some claim it is ok to drink after boiling, that will only kill bacteria but will not remove any mineral/toxic sediments). Amenities included mini bottles of shampoo/conditioner/bath gel/soap/body lotion and a small bottle of bath salts should you decide to use the somewhat narrow bath tub. There is an adjacent but separate shower. Staff were courteous and efficient. I did not have any issues there. None were effusively friendly, but none were rude. There are two banks of elevators which seem to run rather efficiently. I never had an issue with waiting too long for one to arrive. The breakfast buffet that came with my room was wonderful! Lots of traditional Chinese breakfast options such as congee, noodles with do it yourself add ins/toppings, stir fried vegetable choices, tofu as well as typical American and European offerings (which I did not try). Location seems to be in the middle of a financial district, but it is 2 subway stops from the Wanfujing shopping district (which has a lot of malls with high end retailers as well as a few Chinese luxury department stores and souvenir shops).

Pleasant stay

Macau, China | Nov 6, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawaySpent 3 nights in Beijing International Hotel. Fare price compare with other hotels in Financial Street district. Hotel room was nice and comfortable, just a bit dated and required for an renovation. For buffet breakfast, not too various of choices. However, the fruits were very fresh and delicious.
Just want to say the club lounge staff Ms. Karina was very helpful and answer our enquiries with patience. 2 thumbs up for her excellent service.
Concierge team also very nice and actively assisted us to call the taxi to airport. -
Inexpensive, excellent breakfast buffet

Langhorne, Pennsylvania | Oct 14, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessFairly priced - around $150/night. Nice bathroom, fantastic shower, high quality amenities - soap, shampoo, etc. CNN available on TV. Comfy bed. Breakfast buffet a bit pricey - around $30 - but selection was amazing - Chinese, Western and EU selections - made to order omelets, sausage, meats, cheeses, soups, good coffee. Hotel lobby cafe serves tea only, no coffee. Easy check in and check out.

Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke

London, United Kingdom | Jun 30, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThere were a few annoyances. We rang in advance wanting an early check-in. We had a meeting at 1400 and had an hour to have a shower and get changed after a long haul flight. In spite of the reassurances, the room was not ready when we arrived and we had to kick up a fuss. That might not have been wise as my room stank of stale cigarette smoke and the carpets did not look clean.
One positive was the shower which although small was part of a walk in wet room.
The WiFi was dire which is often the case in China but this was particularly dire and slow.
Unlike a previous reviewer we had a positive experience in the Sky bar and the staff were happy to help. The breakfast was OK also. -
