Hyatt Regency Changbaishan

Changbaishan, China | Aug 10, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyI am very satisfied with the recent stay at Hyatt Regency Changbaishan. The guest relations manager Ms. Tong Yan really went for the extra mile to help us solve the difficulties we had, for example organizing nearby rooms for my whole family, recommending to us the local activities, arranging the hotel chef to cook the baby food for my 10 month old daughter, and etc. The hotel staff we met are very friendly and eager to help wherever they can.

Probably the Best Ski Resort in China!
DSL691218
Shanghai, China | Apr 17, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyVisited in February during CNY. Excellent location, right next to the ski lift and houses one of the two ski rental center at the resort. Easy access to the Intermediate and advance slopes. We stayed at the regency rooms facing the slopes, best view of the resort in my opinion, definitely worth paying extra. The club lounge serves complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner with free flow beverages including premium wine abide with a smaller spread if you do not wish to go to the main restaurant at the ground floor; it is really your best options as things in and around the resort are quite expensive as expected.
The ski instructor if you do need one and if you are a beginner is advisable to start with a 'C' coach, the 'C' coach do not mean they are less qualified, it just meant that they have been with the resort for a much shorter time. You may wish to chose a 'B' coach after you have completed the basic and wishes to move on to more challenging slopes. A 'C' coach will not be able to take you to the intermediate slope, if you wish then a 'B' or even an 'A' coach is required. The price of an 'A' coach cost nearly twice that of a 'C' coach thus it is better to hire a 'C' coach if you are only a beginner to save on the cost.
There is a snow center located just west of the resort after the bridge but are more fun for family with kids though, not quite worth the while. Not much around town in fact after the sun set although there is a cinema in town or unless you are into Karaoke.
Staff at the hotel are generally very helpful and do speak some English although the wait staff at the main restaurant needs more training. The executive chef of the hotel was most spontaneous when asked if they offered any Indian food, he brought us some from the kitchen right away even though there weren't any at the buffet on the evening we visited. The true spirit of the hospitality the Hyatt are known for delivering.
The executive chef and the courteous staff working tirelessly at the club lounge make our stay extra special. I would definitely return the next time I return to ski at the resort. -

Shanghai, China | Mar 1, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesWe just spent 3 nights at Hyatt Regency Changbaishan and I must say I am impressed... from the moment we walked in the warm beautifully designed lobby everything went great.
We booked Ski experience package on the Hyatt website and got great value for it. It includes daily ski passes for two, breakfast and dinner vouchers and an evening of entertainment in the local theatre.
Slopes were very decent though bit short and we were lucky with the weather!
We went twice to their Chalet BBQ for dinner - a Must try!!!! Julia who works there was very friendly and hospitable.
Coco in Spa was very nice as well showed us the lockers and explained everything.
Lastly thanks to Dean the duty manager when we checked in - he helped with directions from the airport!
Overall really satisfied with all and would definitely come back!!! -

Changchun, China | Nov 2, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayI came with my partents to stay 3 nights here, the hotel was huge and beautiful!
I was free upgraded to the suite, so happy! Hotel staffs were very helpful, but we were told that as of 01 Nov, they did not provide shttle bus and golf service which was inconvenience, and the pool was under maintenance from 01 Nov, so we felt a little boring.
Anyway, the hotel still in high service quality.
